Program of study

The University of Southern California, Rossier School of Education’s school counseling program offers a comprehensive approach for supporting K-12 students, uplifting their overall well-being. Through this program, I have developed a student-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice. The program of study’s emphasis on collaboration with stakeholders, equity-driven practice, and multiculturalism has played an instrumental role in my development as a school counselor.

This program has equipped me with valuable resources and strategies to depend on throughout the entirety of my practicum and fieldwork experiences, including the ASCA and ACA Standards, group counseling strategies, and data-driven decision-making. The knowledge and experience gained through coursework and 700 hours of practicum and fieldwork have prepared me to become a leader and advocate for every student’s academic, social, and emotional needs.
